It is official. Lisa and I have booked rooms in Nashville, TN for the Biggest Loser 10 casting call. We are driving 7 hours so I can try and dazzle someone in about 2 minutes and I am freaking terrified… I know we shouldn’t put a lot of stock in what most people think, but these are gatekeepers to the show and my goal in the next week and a half is to decide how to show them who I am in 2 minutes or less. A Guest Post… I guessed I posted
I was honored to be asked to write a guest post on Julie Hubert’s site this week. She has been writing some wonderful things that cater much to the woman’s narrative, but decided to mix it up with a few male perspectives. You can read my blog post here.
A small victory in a larger war (well competition)…
Having gone back and looked through my posts for the past months I noticed I have been fairly closed mouth about my experience. I haven’t really spoken much outside of the weigh-ins. That may be a good thing as some of you might have been screaming last August for me to finally shut it and be quiet just for a day, but I have feel like there are more of you out there who would like a bit more of me each week. I, of course, would acquiesce to any request for further mention of my greatness in order to inspire you. (I am, still, in fact full of myself) Continue Reading »A small victory in a larger war (well competition)…
Well Yes… I am just THAT awesome!!! (in my head)
Well my awesomeness has been proven time and time again. I would quote several quite possibly reliable resources with questionable validity that would state truthfully with much doubt about my awesomeness. We have all witnessed it and you have been captivated by it for almost a year now. It is ok, I am just a regular man. I put my pants on one leg at a time, unless they are shorts and I save time by doing both legs…. much more efficient. Continue Reading »Well Yes… I am just THAT awesome!!! (in my head)
WAHOOOOO – I couldn’t think of a better title
Well it has indeed been a while since I actually posted, but it has been a crazy….. CRAZY two weeks. As an academic advisor, no time is as busy as the beginning of each semester. I have spent the last two days under mounds of paperwork and file folders. I have more paper cuts than I care to admit and my relationship with carbon copies have become almost indecent. Aside from that, things have been going very well. Continue Reading »WAHOOOOO – I couldn’t think of a better title
Round 2 … to a new you (well me, the word you just rhymed)
So this is it… the second year of my weight loss journey. 5 months ago, I would have told you I would be in the 200’s, but life does make this all a little difficult
. I will not complain as I have made some great progress on and off the scale. Losing weight is not only about the size of your body, but also the mental, emotional, spiritual and idiomatic characteristics that come with living an obese lifestyle. If it were just losing weight, I believe that this would all be simpler. I have gone through much transition this past year, and even though I have only lost a total of 60 pounds, my life has been impacted in many ways. I believe this will be a long post, so I hope you can stick with me

Weigh-Day Results

I have stopped trying to add flashy titles and pics. I am just trying to get back into posting on a regular basis. For some reason it is too hard to take 10 minutes out of my day to devote to writing at least a small post to let you all know how things are going. Well today, I decided to make myself do it. I know you feel blessed to be able to read my posts…I am all too flattered

A new beginning… to rise up again!

Wow, it has been over a month since I have posted. In fact it has been a month since I have even visited my page. This has mostly been out of disgust or shame. As we all know it is easy to write when you are experiencing successes, but hard as hell to get on here and be blazon about life beating you down and failing. I shouldn’t be so negative, I should say I learned a LOT of ways how NOT to lose weight this month. Continue Reading »A new beginning… to rise up again!
5K a Go-Go…
Well, I did it. I ran a 5K. I took my lazy fat ______ 3.1 miles and loved it. It was FREEEEEEEZING, so afterwards my lungs felt like little knives were poking me, but it is an amazing thing to think I ran… I (Samuel Hill) ran (and walked) 3.1 miles. A liberating thing. Continue Reading »5K a Go-Go…
Phew…. 3 weeks… Tooo long

I have to apologize for taking forever to post again. Sooo much has happened lately and I hope I have enough time to go over it. Most likely, it will take several posts to get everyone caught up. Look for posts and pics about the 5K I ran on October 17th. Look for the post on my GoWear Fit (wahoo). I will talk about my weight yo-yo in this post. That will most likely be it. As life goes, it becomes harder and hard to get on here and post. Work has been hectic and I was sick over the weekend, but I am back now. Continue Reading »Phew…. 3 weeks… Tooo long
